MONTHLY NEWSLETTER January-March 2006 Welcome to the start of another ParTee Girls golf season! And the first newsletter of the year! I'm so excited about this new year, and all the different courses on the tournament schedule. And just as I said last year - I hope everyone will get more involved in the ParTee Girls Golf Club and all the activities we have planned! ParTee Girls Kickoff Luncheon Over 20 members showed up at our Kickoff Luncheon at Gordon Biersch. Even though it was rainy outside, everyone stayed warm and cozy inside with lots of beer and wine - oh, and the food was yummy too! We handed out new ParTee Girls membership cards to everyone - if you weren't at the luncheon, get yours at an upcoming tournament. Mark Your Calendars - 9 Hole Social on October 15th We also announced a new event for the year - a 9 Hole Social at Monarch Bay in San Leandro. We wanted to have a more casual, social event, and thought that a 9 hole course with a barbecue lunch afterwards would be a great way for everyone to relax and have fun! So save that date! We Want More Members! Back by popular demand - the ParTee Girls Membership Drive - whichever member refers the most new members to PTG this year will win a free tournament next year! And we've got lots of things to help you recruit. We handed out "business cards" to everyone a the kick-off luncheon. Next time your on the course (or anywhere at all) and meet someone who may be interested in joining - hand her one of these cards - it's got our URL and the entire 2006 tournament schedule. There's even a space for you to write your name so she can tell us who referred her for credit. We also passed out postcard size flyers that you can post on your bulletin board at work or anywhere else. If you want some of these cards, just let me know and I can send some out to you! We are a wonderful organization of women who are passionate about golf - and we welcome the opportunity to play with women of all levels. I want everyone to have a good time at all of our events - so just make sure that you are enjoying yourselves at all times! We're planning clinics, socials, stay-and-plays, and more. We'll keep you updated as dates are finalized. We're playing at Indian Valley Golf Course in Novato. Built in 1957, with a deep respect for the environment, the course is pristinely maintained, and claims to be among one of the most beautiful courses in the Bay Area. Deadline to sign up is March 11th. Cost for members is $76, and $86 for guests. Signups on a first come first serve basis. If interested, please let Maria Espiritu know. Member News This is a new section to highlight any special news, achievements, etc. of the ParTee Girls member base, whether on the golf course or off.
